George Strait

 George Harvey Strait Sr. was born on May 18th, 1952. He is an American musician, singer and actor. Strait is often referred to as the "King of Country", and is a well-known singer as well as songwriter, actor and music producer from the United America. His debut single, "Unwound", was released in 1981. This was the beginning of the mainstream acceptance of the neotraditional genre. In the 1980s seven of his albums were the top spot on the charts of country music. Strait won his first Grammy for his album Troubadour in 2000. He was also named Artist of the Decade at the Academy of Country Music and elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Strait was awarded the CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1989, and 2013.
