Amy Adams

 American actor Amy Lou Adams was born on the 20th of August 1974. Her dramatic and comedic roles her name has been included three times in the annual rankings of the highest-paid actresses in the world. Her awards include which include two Golden Globe Awards, in addition to nominations for six Academy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards.Adams began her professional career as a dancer in a dinner theater, a career she worked in from 1994 to 1998. She began her film career with a supporting part in the dark comedy Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Guest appearances on TV were followed by "mean girl" roles in low-budget feature movies. Her first major role was in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Can (2002) However, she was unemployed for an entire year after. Her breakout moment came when she played the role of a sexy pregnant woman in the independent comedy-drama Junebug (2005) in which she was awarded her first Academy Award nomination.
