Salma Hayek

 Salma Hayek Pinault (/'haIek/"HY-ek," Spanish Salma 'xajek; born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimenez;2 September 1966) is a Mexican and American actor and producer. She started her career in Mexico with starring roles in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) and also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), for which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. With roles in movies such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999), as well as Dogma (1999), Hayek quickly made herself a household name in Hollywood. She was nominated for the Academy Award in Best Actress. In the following seasons, Hayek focused more on making films, while also appearing in the action-oriented films Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), After the Sunset (2004) and Bandidas (2006). Another commercial success was achieved with Grown Ups (2010) and Grown Ups 2 (2013).
