Rosa Arianna "Rose" McGowan (born on September 5th 1973) is an American actress. Following her debut on film with a short role in the comedy Encino Man (1992), McGowan gained more attention for her performance in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995) which earned her an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance. McGowan made her film debut in the horror film Scream (1996). The actress then went on to headline the movies Going All the Way (1997), Devil in the Flesh (191998) as well as Jawbreaker (1999). In 1995, McGowan received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for the Best Debut Performance. Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez have made her the star of the double-feature film Grindhouse (2007). The actress received nominations for both the Saturn Award as Best Actress as well as the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. She appeared in the action thriller series Chosen (2014) as well as released her debut studio album, Planet 9, in 2018, which was followed by a second repackaging in 2020.
