 Milica Bogdanovna Jovovich (/joUv@vItS/YOH-v@–vitch born on 17 December, 1977) is an American actress, model and model. Her starring roles in numerous action and science fiction films led the music channel VH1 to proclaim her as the "reigning queen of kick-butt" in the year 2006. In 2004, Forbes determined that she was the most expensive model in the world.Born in Kiev (now Kyiv) and born in Los Angeles, Jovovich began modeling when Herb Ritts photographed her for the cover of the Italian magazine Lei in 1987. Richard Avedon featured Jovovich in Revlon's "Most Often Forgotten Women of the World” advertisements. In 1988, Jovovich made her screen debut in the TV film The Night Train to Kathmandu and was also in her debut feature film, Two Moon Junction.Jovovich became famous due to her part in the 1991 romance film Return to the Blue Lagoon, as she was 15 at the time.
