Matt Brown

 Matthew Burton Brown, born 10 January 1981 is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Professionally competing since 2004 Brown was a contestant in the 7th season of The Ultimate Fighter television series and holds the current record for most knockouts during UFC Welterweight history.Brown was born and was raised in Jamestown, Ohio. After being home-schooled for a period of two years, Brown attended Greeneview High School where he struggled to make friends. Brown was raised in a small town with little to no prospects for his future. Brown worked as an machinist in a small factory. Brown was addicted to methamphetamine, often ingested cocaine, and often got into fights at gatherings. When he was in his early 20s, Brown was able to recover from an overdose of heroin (which led to his nickname "The Immortal"), had been homeless and had been to prison. Brown's interest in MMA started with drunkenly practicing different submission techniques that were shown on VHS films featuring Ken Shamrock on friends.
