Marie Osmond

 Olive Marie Osmond, born on October 13 1959 is an American singer, actress as well as philanthropist, writer and talk show host. She is also part of the Osmonds showbiz family. While she wasn't part of her family's singing group, she gained success as a pop and country music performer and TV co-host of variety shows in the 1970s and the 1980s. The most famous song she has released is the remake of "Paper Roses" which is a popular country tune. Between 1976 and 1979, she and her singer brother Donny Osmond starred on the tv variety show Donny & Marie.Olive Marie Osmond was born in Ogden, Utah, the eighth child of nine (and the only daughter) born to Olive May (nee Davis; 1925-2004) and George Osmond (1917-2007). She is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her siblings comprise Virl and Tom Osmond, Wayne, Merrill (Jay, Donny, Wayne), Wayne, Merrill, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Jimmy Osmond, and Alan Osmond. They were all involved in show business as early as the age. They performed and sang on television networks across the nation. Osmond made her debut as part of the brothers' group The Osmond Brothers on the Andy Williams Show when she was just four years old, but she did not perform with her brothers in the show's TV performances until the 1960s.
