Magic Johnson

 Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. is a former American professional basketball player was born August 14, 1959. Johnson was the most well-known point guard of all time and played for 13 seasons with the National Basketball Association (NBA). After winning numerous championships in high school and in college, Johnson was selected first in the 1979 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, leading the team to five NBA championships during their Showtime time. Johnson abruptly resigned in 1991, after revealing he had contracted HIV. However, he returned to play in 1992 All-Star Game and won the All-Star MVP Award. After being protested by teammates, Johnson resigned again in 1991. However, he returned to the Lakers in 1996, aged 36, and was awarded the All-Star MVP Award. He was the league's top player in regular season assists for four consecutive years and is currently the NBA's top player in average assists per match in both regular season as well as playoffs (11.19 assists per games)
