Lynda Jean Cordova Carter was born on July 24 in 1951. She is an American actor and singer. The role was based on the DC comic book's fictional superhero of the same name. The show aired on ABC as well as CBS from 1975 until 1979Carter attended Arizona State University. After being voted "Most Talented" and then dropping out to pursue a career in the field of music. In 1970, Carter auditioned and then was on tour together with The Garfin Gathering and bandleader Howard (Speedy) Garfin. Their first show with each other was held at the Holiday Inn Chinatown, a San Francisco hotel so new that it had no sidewalk entryway. They played mostly to hotel staff and guests, who parked their cars in underground. The Garfin Gathering performed shows throughout the Nevada "Silver Circuit", including in several casinos in Nevada. Carter quit the Garfin Gathering to pursue acting in 1972. He then was able to return to Arizona.
