Lynda Carter

 Lynda Jean Cordova Carter (born July 24 1951) is an American performer, actress, and beauty pageant titleholder. She was named Miss World USA 1972 and finished in the top 15 in the Miss World 1972 pageant.Carter is best known for her role as the lead of the live-action television show Wonder Woman as the role of Diana Prince / Wonder Woman. The show is based on the DC comics superhero of the name, Carter was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She is the daughter of Juanita Cordova and Colby Carter. Her father is of English as well as Scots Irish heritage and her mother, originally from Mexico is Mexican, Spanish and French. One brother, Vincent and Pamela are her siblings. Carter has made her television debut on Lew King's Talent Show at age 5. During high school, Carter performed in a band known as Just Us. The band played a marimba, conga drum and an acoustic guitar and a stand-up basses that was played by a girl in the group. When she was 15 Lynda began to sing in the local pizza parlor to earn extra money. She joined her friends, The Relatives, when she was just 16 years old.
