Jessica Chastain

 Jessica Michelle Chastain, born March 24, 1977, is an American actress. Known for primarily starring in films that have feminist themes, she has won various accolades like an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one the top 100 influential people worldwide in 2012. She was born in 1962 and began her acting career in the early years of her life. Her first stage appearance was in 1998, when she played Shakespeare's Juliet. After attending the Juilliard School, she was signed to a talent holding contract with the TV producer John Wells. Law & Order: Trial by Jury was one of her frequent guest appearances on television. She also played roles in stage productions of Anton Chekhov's play The Cherry Orchard in 2004 and Oscar Wilde's drama Salome in 2006.After making her debut in film at age 31 in the film drama Jolene (2008), Chastain was able to make her debut in the year 2011 with six films, including the dramas Take Shelter (2011) and The Tree of Life (2011). As a character in the films, she played an aspiring socialite and a CIA analyst, she was awarded Academy Award nominations in The Help (2011) and Zero Dark Thirty (2012).
