Nicole Evangeline Lilly (born 3 August 1979) is an actress and Canadian actress and author. She has been awarded various accolades including a Screen Actors Guild Award and an MTV Movie Award, and nominations for an Golden Globe Award, a Critics Choice Movie Award, the Screen Actors Guild Award, a Saturn Award, an Empire Award and 10 Teen Choice Awards.She gained popular acclaim for her lead debut in the role of Kate Austen in the ABC series Lost (2004-2010), which brought her the honor of being nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series and also an award from the Screen Actors Guild Award. In 2008, she was a part-time actress as Connie James in the Academy Award-winning war film The Hurt Locker (2008) and followed it with a role in the science-fiction film Real Steel (2011). Lilly is also the writer of The Squickerwonkers, a series of children's books. She appeared in The Desolation of Smaug (2013), and The Battle of the Five Armies (2014). As part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, she has played the role of the Wasp in the past, beginning with Ant-Man (2015). The actress was later cast as the role of the Wasp in Avengers: Endgame (2018) and Ant-Man: Quantumania (2019).
