American actress Elizabeth Berkley was born July 28, 1974. She played Jessie Spano in the television series Saved by the Bell and Nomi Malone/Polly Ann Costello on the film of Paul Verhoeven in 1995 Showgirls. She was the voice of the title character in the animated film Armitage III: Poly-Matrix and played supporting roles in the films The First Wives Club and Roger Dodger. In theater, she received high praise for her role in Hurlyburly.Berkley was born and was raised in Farmington Hills located in a Detroit northern suburb in the affluent Oakland County, Michigan. Her parents are Jere who is a gift basket business owner and Fred Berkley, a lawyer. Jason is her brother. She learned to dance in a basement dance studio set up by her parents. Annie was her first audition. She tried out for Annie's lead role as she was looking into dance as a career.
