Bernadette (nee Lazzara, born on February 28th 1948) was an American actress, singer and children's book author. In a span of over six decades, she has starred in musical films, theatre and television, performed in solo concerts and released recordings. She is a highly-acclaimed Broadway performer, having received seven nominations for Tony Awards, winning two (plus an honorary award) as well as nine Drama Desk Award nominations, winning three. She has been awarded Grammy Awards for four of the Broadway productions she has been a part of. (2018).
