Angelina Jolie[3]DCMG (/dZoU’li/) was born Angelina Jolie Voight on June 4, 1975. She is an American actor and filmmaker. She has won numerous awards including three Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award. Her film career began to take off 10 years later with Cyborg 2 (1993), which was followed by Hackers (1995) in which she played her first lead role. She was a star in biographical cable movies George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998). In 1999, she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Her starring role as the title video game character in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) established her as a top Hollywood actress. She continued her acting-star career with Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) and Wanted (2008).
