Angelina Jolie[3] DCMG (/dZoU'li:(born Angelina Jolie Voight; June 4 1975) is an American actor, director, and humanitarian. She has received numerous awards, which include three Golden Globe Awards and an Academy Award. Her film career began to take off 10 years later, with Cyborg 2 (1993), which was followed by Hackers (1995). She was in critically acclaimed biographical films for cable George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998) and won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in 1999's drama Girl, Interrupted. Her leading part as the video game character in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) established her as a prominent Hollywood actress. Her action-star career continued with Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005) and Wanted (2008).
