Allen Ezail Iverson (/'aIv@rs@n/; born June 7 1975) is an American former professional basketball player.Nicknamed "the answer" the Answer, he played 14 seasons with the National Basketball Association (NBA) in both the shooting guard and point guard positions. Iverson was the 1997 NBA Rookie of the Year Award winner. He was also an 11-time NBA All-Star, the MVP award for 2001 and 2005, and the Most Valuable Player (MVP), in 2001. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in the year 2016. He was inducted into the Naismith memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016. Iverson is frequently regarded as one of the best scorers in NBA history and an influential player. He was given the Associated Press High School Player Award in basketball and football, and he won the Division 5 AAA Virginia State Championship in both sports.
