Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is an actress and model. After her first small performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) and then went on to portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan's role as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Doody began her modeling career after she was approached by an aspiring photographer. She has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody strove to avoid glamour and nude roles, this was the principle she incorporated into her acting. Having come to the attention of the casting director of an upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one the twelve most promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody aged 18 as she played the character of Doody in Bond she was still the most youthful Bond girl until today. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody had an unspoken role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias when she appeared in his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation to The Secret Garden. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her debut leading role. It took place in 1988 with John Hurt, Dawn France as well as Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the film Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is a member of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. In 1991 Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. She then moved to Hollywood. She replaced Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson's role. She then played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody, who had been absent from the stage for nearly 10 years, returned in 2003 to play a small role on The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character in a scene at an awards ceremony. The year 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody made an appearance in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Doody appeared on RTE's medical drama The Clinic. The project was eventually canceled. In 2011 she began the first season of two on the E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on the 21st of November, 2018.
