The wealth of her family is the sale of defense technology and weapons. According to the Daily Mail, she and her brother bought her father's business in 2006 for $1.2 billion. Anna Shay's net worth was reported to be 600 million in January 2023. Shay is the daughter of late billionaire businessman Edward SShay and Ai-San. Her father founded Pacific Architects and Engineers which was a defense contractor that worked for the United Nations and U.S. government. In an interview with Oprah magazine, Shay stated her parents as her heroes. Shay stated that her heroes included her mother, father and son. My parents are my heroes because they have taught me morals, values and respect, honor and loyalty as well as principles. These things are rare qualities today."While when he was alive, her father never wanted her to work however she has been able to do lots of charitable work. Shay was a board member for the George Lopez Foundation, which raises awareness about organ donation and kidney disease.
