Steve Carell

 American actor and comedian Steven John Carell is /k@’relSteven John Carell. He was born on August 16, 1962. He played Michael Scott in The Office (2005-2011 The Office, 2005-2011; 2013), NBC's adaptation of the British series developed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, where Carell also worked as occasional writer, producer and director. Carell has received numerous accolades for his performance in television and film, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for a Television Series Musical or Comedy for his work on The Office. Life magazine named him America's Funniest man. He also gained recognition for his role as a correspondent for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart between 1999 and 2005. He was the main character in numerous comedy films, including Anchorman, The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), its 2013 sequel The 40-Year Old Virgin (2005), Evan Almighty (2007), Get Smart (2008), Date Night (2009), Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), The Way, Way Back (2013). He also voiced the characters in Over the Hedge (2006), Horton Hears a Who! (2008) and Despicable Me (2010-present).
