Scotty Maurice Pippen Sr., also called Scottie Pippen is an American professional basketball player who played in the past. He was born on September 25 1965. He was a part of the National Basketball Association (NBA) for 17 seasons, winning six NBA championships as a member of the Chicago Bulls. Considered one of the greatest small forwards ever, Pippen, along with Michael Jordan, played an crucial role in the transformation of the Bulls into a championship team and in popularizing the NBA throughout the world in the 1990s.Pippen was selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team eight consecutive times and the All-NBA First Team three times. He was a seven-time NBA All-Star, and the NBA All-Star Game MVP for 1994. He was recognized as one of the 50 greatest Players in NBA History during the 1996-97 season, and is one of four players who have his jersey retired by the Chicago Bulls (the others being Jerry Sloan, Bob Love, and Jordan). He was a key member of the 1992 Chicago Bulls Championship and 1996 Chicago Bulls Championship teams, that were selected as the Top 10 NBA Teams.
