Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon, born on the 22nd of March 1976, is an American actress. She has been the recipient of numerous accolades such as an Academy Award and a British Academy Film Award. Time magazine named her one of the top 100 influential people in the world in both 2006 and 2015 and Forbes included her in the World's 100 Most Powerful Women in 2021 and 2019. Forbes declared her the world's most successful actress in 2021. Witherspoon is estimated to have a fortune of $400 million. Witherspoon made her screen debut in The Man in the Moon (1991). In 1999, she was an actress who played a supporting role in Cruel Intentions and also in the role of Tracy Flick in Election. Her roles in Legally Blonde (2001 and its sequel 2003) and Sweet Home Alabama (2002 ) brought her greater recognition. In 2005, she gained notoriety and the Academy Award for Best Actress for portraying June Carter Cash in the musical biopic Walk the Line.
