Peyton Williams Manning (born March 24 1976) is an American former football quarterback who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 18 seasons. Manning was dubbed "The Sheriff" and spent 14 years in Indianapolis, playing for the Colts and four years with the Denver Broncos. Manning is widely considered one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks. He is the older brother of Eli Manning, former NFL quarterback. Manning played in the NCAA football tournament at Tennessee. He was a top quarterback for the Colts from 1998 to 2010. The struggling Colts team was transformed under Manning, who helped them win 11 playoff runs and eight division titles. He also served as their starting quarterback from 1998 to 2010.
