Margot Elise Robbie (/'ma:rgoU 'rabiborn 2 July 1990) is an Australian actor and producer. She is known for her work in blockbusters as well as independent films, she has received several accolades and nominations, including two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and five British Academy Film Awards. Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2017. She was named one of the top-paid actresses by Forbes in 2019.Born and raised in Queensland, Robbie began her career in 2008 on the show Neighbours in which she was a regular until the year 2011. After the move to America and starring in the television series Pan Am (2011-2012), and had her breakthrough in 2013 with the dark comedy film The Wolf of Wall Street. Her role in the films as Jane Porter in The Legend of Tarzan (2016), Harley Quinn (2020 DC superhero film) and The Suicide Squad (2021) gave her greater recognition. Robbie was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and received acclaim from critics for her performance as Tonya Harding, a disgraced figure skater in the biopic I, Tonya (2017).
