Lucy Lawless

 Lucille Frances Lawless (nee Ryan) was born 29 March 1968 in New Zealand. She is an actor and a singer. Her credits include Xena in the television show Xena the Warrior Princess, D'Anna Biers in the remake of the Battlestar Galactica series and Lucretia on Spartacus Blood and Sand. She also appeared as the the Countess Palatine Ingrid Von Marburg, the supernatural WGN America series called Salem (2015). Ruby was also a character in Starz the horror-comedy series Ash vs Evil Dead (2015)-2018. Lucille Frances Ryan was born in Mount Albert to Julie Ryan (nee Haynes), and Frank Ryan, Mount Albert's mayor. She is the fifth member of the family of six having four brothers as well as a sibling. Her family is described as "this vast and sprawling Irish Catholic family" and when she was filming in Ireland in 2004 she revealed to Ireland that her father came originally from Quilty in County Clare. Her debut on television was for two and a half seasons as a participant on the Funny Business sketch comedy show in New Zealand. She later trained in acting in Vancouver's William Davis Centre for Actors Study, British Columbia, Canada.
