Lady Gaga

 Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (/'stef@ni dZe:rm@'nat@/ (listen) STEF-@n-ee JUR-m@-NOT-@; born March 28th in 1986), known professionally as Lady Gaga, is an American artist, singer and actress. She is famous for her reimagining of the image and musical versatility. Gaga started performing when she was an teen. She performed at open mic nights and was a part of school productions. She was a student at Collaborative Arts Project 21, through the New York University Tisch School of the Arts, before abandoning the program to pursue a career in music. Following the time that Def Jam Recordings canceled her contract, she was a writer for Sony/ATV Music Publishing, where she signed a joint deal with Interscope Records and KonLive Distribution in 2007. Gaga was able to make her mark next year, with her debut studio album, The Fame, and its chart-topping singles "Just Dance" and "Poker Face". The album was reissued along with the expanded show The Fame Monster (2008) that brought out the smash singles "Bad Romance", Telephone, and Alejandro. Born This Way (2011) was her second album that was full-length comprised of techno-pop and electronic rock. It sold over 1 million copies in its first week. The title track was the top-selling track on the iTunes Store with more than one million downloads within less than a week.
