Kim Basinger

 Kimila Ann Basinger (/'beIsING@r/ BAY-sing-@r; born December 8, 1953) is an American actress and fashion model. Her work has been praised for her work in television and film, for which she has been honored with numerous awards like an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.Following a brief , but successful modeling career in New York, Basinger moved to Los Angeles where she began acting in television shows in the year 1976. She appeared in several made-for-TV films that included a remake From Here to Eternity (1979) prior to making her feature debut in the drama Hard Country (1981). Basinger was widely praised as the sex icon from the 1980s and 1990s for her part in Never Say Never Again (1983). Basinger was later awarded an Golden Globe nomination for her role in The Natural (1984), played in the erotic thriller 9 1/2 Weeks (1986), as well as portrayed Vicki Vale in Tim Burton's Batman (1989), which remains the highest-grossing film in her career.
