James Thomas Fallon (born September 19th 1974) is an American comedian, television host as well as actor and writer. He is best known for his roles as the Saturday Night Live cast member and host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. In 1998, he was invited to be a Saturday Night Live cast member. This was the fulfillment of a long-standing wish. Between 1998 and 2004, he was the Weekend Update host on Saturday Night Live. He was well-known for this role. Fallon quit SNL to appear in movies like Taxi (2004) as well as Fever Pitch (2005). In 2009, Fallon was back on television hosting Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, NBC. He is popular for his work on gaming and music. The show was canceled in 2010 and he moved to become the sixth host on the long-running Tonight Show in 2014. Alongside his TV work, he has released two comedy albums and seven books, which are primarily aimed at children.
