James William Nantz III (born May 17th, 1959) is an American sportscaster who has worked on telecasts of the National Football League (NFL), NCAA Division I men's basketball, the NBA and the PGA Tour for CBS Sports since the 1980s. Since 1989, Nantz has been anchoring CBS's Masters Tournament coverage. He also serves as the CBS Sports ' lead play-by-play announcer. Bamm Hollow Country Club was the first club he played at. Then, he attended the University of Houston, where the men's golf team. In 1981, he graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting.
