Jason Statham

 Jason Statham (/'steIth@m/; born 26 July 1967) is an English actor. He is well-known for playing characters in a variety of action thrillers who are typically tough, hardboiled, gritty, or violent.Statham began practising Chinese martial arts, kickboxing, and karate as a child when he worked at the local market stands. He was an avid diver and footballer. He was a member of England at the 1990 Commonwealth Games. In the following year, he was invited to be a be a model for French Connection, Tommy Hilfiger as well as Levi's in various advertisements. His past history working at market stalls was the inspiration for his role for the Guy Ritchie crime films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch (2000).The commercial success of these films prompted Statham to play Frank Martin in the Transporter trilogy (2002-2008). After appearing in a range of action thrillers and heist films including The Italian Job (2003), Crank (2006), War (2007), The Bank Job (2008), The Mechanic (2011), Spy (2015), and Mechanic: Resurrection (2016), he established himself as a Hollywood leading man. He has also been in films that have been critically as well as commercially unprofitable, like Chaos (2005) as well as Revolver (2006).
