 Amethyst Amelia (born 7 June 1990) also known as Iggy Azalea zeIli HTML1 is an Australian rapper, singer, songwriter, model, and businesswoman. At the age of 16, Azalea moved from Australia to the United States in order to pursue an opportunity in the field of music. Azalea was recognized by the media after releasing the music videos of her songs "Pussy" as well as "Two Times" on YouTube, both of which quickly gained popularity. Azalea shortly thereafter released her debut mixtape Ignorant Art (2011), and subsequently signed a contract to record with American rapper T.I. The New Classic (2014) was Azalea's first studio album. It was a huge success, reaching the top of several charts throughout the world, and received mixed reviews from industry professionals. The album ultimately topped the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, which made Azalea the first female non-American rapper to reach the top of the charts. The New Classic was preceded in the U.S. by Azalea's first single "Work" as well as the the top charting single "Fancy" with CharliXCX. Billboard Hot 100. Azalea was featured in Ariana Grande's 2014 track "Problem" which peaked at number two after "Fancy.
