Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born 15 April 1990 is an English actress. She is well-known for her work in blockbuster films and independent films as in her advocacy for women's rights. She has been awarded a number of awards such as the Young Artist Award and three MTV Movie Awards. Forbes and Vanity Fair have ranked Watson as one of the highest-paid actresses in the world. Time magazine also named Watson one of the 100 most influential people around the world in 2015. Watson attended the Dragon School, and she trained in acting at Stagecoach Theatre Arts' Oxford branch. After appearing in the Harry Potter films as Hermione Granger, Watson rose to fame as a young girl. Her previous roles were limited to been in school productions. Watson was also in the adaptation for television of Ballet Shoes (2008) and gave her voice to The Tale of Despereaux (2008). After the last Harry Potter film, Watson was a guest on My Week with Marilyn (2011). Then, she starred as Sam as a flirtatious and charming character.
