Queen Latifah

Dana Elaine Owens (born March 18th, 1970) also known professionally as Queen Latifah, is an American actor, rapper and performer. She was born in Newark, New Jersey. In 1989, she signed with Tommy Boy Records and released her debut album All Hail the Queen, which featured the hit song "Ladies First". From 1993 to 1998 Latifah starred in the Fox sitcom Living Single as Khadijah. Black Reign (1993) was her third album. It became the first solo female rapper's album to receive an gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America.
