 Christina Marma Aguilera, (/zgI’le@r@/; Spanish pronunciation: [agi’lera]), is an American singer-songwriter, actress and a television host. She was born December 18th the 18th of December, 1980. Known for her four-octave vocal range and the ability to hold high notes, she is often called the "Voice of the Generation".Aguilera became famous by releasing her debut album eponymously, for which she is recognized as having contributed to the revival of pop music for teens during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Her work, which integrate homophobia, feminism, and domestic violence, has garnered both praise and criticism. Her name is often mentioned by other artists as having an influence. Aguilera first made her appearance on television in 1998.
