 Curtis James Jackson III (born on July 6, 1975),known professionally as 50 Cent, is a popular American actor, rapper and businessman. Jackson was born in South Jamaica, Queens. He started his career in music when he produced Power of the Dollar, Columbia Records' first major-label release. However, Jackson was shot days prior to the release date and the album not released. After 50 Cent's mixtape Guess who's back? was released in 2002, Eminem discovered him and signed him to Shady Records. This was under the guidance of Dr. Dre and Interscope Records. His first major-label album called Get Rich or Die trying (2003) was a huge commercial success. It was the album that spawned the Billboard Hot 100 number one singles "In da Club" and "21 Questions", and was certified 9x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). That same year, he founded G-Unit Records, signing his G-Unit associates Young Buck, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo;
