Trevor George Smith Jr. (born on 20th May 1972) who is known professionally as Busta Rhymes, is an American actor and rapper. Chuck D, a member of Public Enemy, gave him the nickname Busta Rhymes in honor of George "Buster", a wide receiver in the NFL and CFL. His work has garnered him 12 Grammy Award nominations, making him among the top-nominated artist in the world, and yet to win. Busta Rhymes was an original member of Leaders of the New School which gained national attention when they went their tour with Public Enemy. His appearance as a guest on "Scenario", A Tribe Called Quest's hit song, earned him a lot of attention. The group broke up soon afterward it, and Rhymes became a sought-after solo artist. He was featured on numerous songs by other artists prior his solo album, The Coming (1996). The album was ranked in the top ten on the Billboard 200 album charts, was certified platinum (RIAA) and earned Rhymes a Grammy nomination.
