Bernadette (nye Lazzara born on February 28, 1948) was an American actor, singer, and author of children's books. Through a long career that spans more than six decades, she has performed in musical films, television, and theatre as well as performed in solo performances and released music. She is a highly regarded Broadway performer, receiving seven nominations for Tony Awards, winning two (plus an honorary award) and nine Drama Desk Award nominations, receiving three. She has won Grammy Awards for four of the Broadway productions she has starred in. (2018).
