Ben Affleck

 Benjamin Geza Affleck (born August 15, 1972) is an American actor and filmmaker. He has won two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards as well as the Volpi Cup. This is the most prestigious award awarded to actors during the Venice Film Festival. He began his career as a young man when was a part of the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984, 1988). Later, he appeared in independent comedy Dazed & Confused (1993) and several Kevin Smith films including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck gained wider recognition after he and his childhood friend Matt Damon won the Golden Globe as well as the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for writing Good Will Hunting (1997) and also played in. Affleck then became a prominent man in studio films like the war-themed drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the disaster film Armageddon (1998) as well as the war drama Pearl Harbor (2001). He also starred in the thrillers The Sum of All Fears (both 2002) and Changing Lanes (both 2002).
