 Bar Paly (Hebrew pronunciation: br pAly Bar Paly (Hebrew pronunciation: br pAly, born Varvara Alexandrovna Paley, Russian: Varvara Aeksandrovna Palei) is an Israeli model, actress and actor. She was an avid musician during her early years, and began playing piano since the age of four. Her family immigrated to Israel when she was nine and she was raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. Her grandparents were members of the Red Army during World War II. She was raised in Tel Aviv, Israel.Yafo in Israel in which she was a part-time actress in a number of productions written by William Shakespeare and Bertolt Brecht for example, including the stage play Antigone.In 2003, she started her career as an actress appearing in a variety of roles on television. She also appeared in the Israeli mockumentary television film Zehirut Matzlema.Paly has been featured in TV's How I Met Your Mother, The Starter Wife as well as the horror film of 2008, The Ruins.In 2013, Paly held roles in both Roman Coppola's Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III starring Charlie Sheen, Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray.
