Amy Adams

 Amy Lou Adams (born August 20, 1974) is an American actress. She is known for her comedic and dramatic roles. Amy Lou Adams has been included three times on the annual rankings of the highest-paid actresses around the world. Her achievements include two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for six Academy Awards and seven British Academy Film Awards. She made her debut on film with Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) in which she portrayed in a part in a supporting role. She made guest appearances in TV and played "mean girl" roles in feature films with low budgets. Her first role of note came in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Can (2002), but she was unemployed for one year following the film. Her breakthrough came in 2005 when she played the witty and pregnant character in Junebug (2005). The independent comedy-drama earned her the first Academy Award nomination.
