Amethyst Amelia Kelly (born 7 June 1990), known professionally as Iggy Azalea (/@'zeIli @/), is an Australian musician, rapper, and model. Azalea was 16 when she relocated to America to pursue a career as musician. After making music videos for "Pussy", and "Two Times,"" Azalea gained public attention. Azalea soon after released her debut mixtape, Ignorant Art (2011), and later signed a recording deal with American rapper T.I. 's Grand Hustle label.Azalea's debut studio album, The New Classic (2014) which topped the top five on several charts around the world, but it was met with mixed reception from the industry. The album ultimately topped the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, making Azalea the first non-American female artist to be at the top of the list. The New Classic was preceded by Azalea's first single "Work" and chart-topping single "Fancy" (featuring Charli XCX) and was a hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Azalea was on Ariana Grande's 2014 track "Problem" which reached second place just behind "Fancy".
