Seth Aaron Rogen (/'roUg@n/; born April 15, 1982) is an actor from Canada, a as well as a comedian and film maker. He began his career in Vancouver as a stand-up comic. After a stint in Judd Apatow’s series Freaks and Geeks in Los Angeles He was then given a role on Undeclared. Undeclared also hired the writer. Apatow assisted Rogen to make a move in film after landing his position as an assistant writer in the last season of Da Ali G Show. Apatow was nominated as an Primetime Emmy Award nominee for Outstanding Writing in a Variety Series. His first movie role was in Donnie Darko (2001). Rogen was cast as a supporting character and was also credited with co-producing Apatow’s directorial debut, The 40 Year-Old Virgin. Universal Pictures cast Rogen as the lead in the films of Apatow, Knocked Up, Funny People. Rogen played Steve Wozniak in Universal's Steve Jobs biopic in 2015. He co-created the AMC television series Preacher in 2016 alongside Sam Catlin and Evan Goldberg, his writing partner. Goldberg is also employed by him as a writer and executive producer.
