Kenneth Copeland

 Kenneth Max Copeland (born December 6 in 1936) is an American televangelist and author of the charismatic movement. Eagle Mountain International Church Inc. which was established by Copeland in 1967, is located in Tarrant County in Texas. Copeland's sermons are broadcast across the US as well as internationally via the Victory Channel. Copeland is also the creator of numerous books and publications. He has been identified as preaching the prosperity gospel and being a part of the Word of Faith movement. Copeland has written that people who attend church will receive a "hundredfold" return for their investment when they give to God. He has been criticised for his use of donations and tax exempt status to finance mansions, private jets or an airport as well as other extravagant purchases.During the COVID-19 epidemic in the year 2020, Copeland claimed that the disease had been eliminated or was about to end, and that his followers would soon be completely free of the virus. He advised that his followers continue to pay tithes even after they lost their jobs due to the economic downturn that the virus caused. Then, he claimed that he had eradicated the virus and ended the pandemic.
