Lindsay Dee Lohan (/'loU. @n/LOH-@n;[a] was born July 2 June, 1986) is an American actress and singer.Born in New York City and raised on Long Island, Lohan was signed to Ford Models at the age of three. Her breakthrough came from Walt Disney Pictures' 1998 film The Parent Trap. The film's success led to appearances in television shows Life-Size (2000) as well as Get a Clue (2002) and also the big-screen adaptations Freaky Friday (2003) and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004). Her early work helped earn her fame. The teen comedy hit Mean Girls (2004) established her as an icon. Lohan also signed with Casablanca Records, releasing two studio albums: platinum-certified Speak (2004) as well as the gold-certified A Little Personal(Raw) (2006).
