 Jermaine Lamarr Cole (born on 28 January 1985) is an American rapper, singer and songwriter as well as record producer. Born on the military base in Germany and born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cole first gained recognition as a rapper after the release of his debut mixtape, the Come Up, in early 2007. Cole released his first studio album, Cole World, The Sideline Story in 2011, in the hope of pursuing a music career. The album was ranked number one on the US Billboard 200. The next album, Born Sinner (2013) was also the top album on the Billboard 200. 2014 Forest Hills Drive (2014), a more conscious album that topped the Billboard 200. Cole received an Best Rap Album nomination from the 2015 Grammy Awards. His fourth album 4 Your Eyez Only (2016) was his jazz-influenced record. It was released at number one on the Billboard 200.
